Man, it would be really awesome if we occasionally got messages that weren’t insulting. Or spam. Or both.

The mix tape is a form of American folk art: predigested cultural artifacts combined with homespun technology and magic marker turn the mix tape into a message in a bottle. I am no mere consumer of pop culture, it says, but also a producer of it. Mix tapes mark the moment of consumer culture in which listeners attained control over what they heard, in what order and at what cost

Next Friday (18th March) is the first ArtUncut event - an evening of comedy and music at the wonderful Bull & Gate pub in Kentish Town.
It’s going to be an awesome evening - we had a planning meeting in the pub last night and it was all sorts of fun! If you’re London based and not busy you should definitely come along.

This looks incredible! We’ll definitely be there!

The Marriage Of A Dead Dog SING! - Tiaras Adventures In Sexy Queer Porn Land (take 1)

The other day we got an email from Tiara The Merchgirl, a rather excellent Creatrix from Brisbane, Australia. She’s heading over to San Francisco to do some performances soon and wanted something a little bit different, so asked if we could cook up something interesting just for her.

Which, of course, we were only too happy to oblige with. Here’s a little demo of one of the tracks we’ve been working on.

We’d like to think we were channeling the spirit of David Lynch and Portishead, but then someone pointed out it sounds like something Quentin Tarantino would use during a striptease scene and it just started bringing up somewhat distressing mental images of Kyle MacLachlan suckling on Geoff Barrows toes, so we stopped trying to come up with witty ways to describe the song and thought we’d let you decide instead.

Samples Used:

You owe the companies nothing. You especially don’t owe them any courtesy. They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don’t even start asking for theirs
